Dear Family
We didn´t end up having the wedding this week because Norma´s father got really sick, so she left to Ciudad De Este to visit with him. She comes back this week and we´ll talk about getting everything all set up again then. But we talked with Richard and everything´s fine. They're both still really excited about everything. So I´ll let you know all about it later.
Good Job BOB! Keep scouting, you´ll be surprized how much you really learned by the end of it all.
Two days ago Elder Beramendi found 1 pike (Pike is a type of worm that lives in the dirt and digs in to the skin of animals (and us) that walk on the dirt) (Because of that we don´t walk anywhere without some kind of foot protection) any way... He got it out, or at least he thought he did. But in the morning when we woke up he found another 3 in his foot. Right now walking is not his favorite activity... Then in the night as well he found one more in his foot. Because of that we´ve been getting all kinds of funks substances from the members that are supposed to help his foot. Some of them seem to work... but others I´m not so sure about. For example, I´m pretty sure one of them was just food coloring, nothing more, because after using it his foot turned bright yellow (It still is...), and another made his foot sting like crazy for more than half an hour. Personal note: Trust the medicine here at face value... :)

P.S. Read your scriptures!
As much as we love that engineering, intense dancing, blond guy that all the girls swarm to... we had to boot him to the South American country of Paraguay. He'll learn to spread the gospel and learn all the native country hip movin' dances... on P-Day that is :)

Last P-day it was raining really hard and I didn´t have an opportunity to wash my clothes... So I´ve been living this week on a day to day basis... ;)
Dear Family,
Its amazing how when we show our willingness to do what the Lord wants us to do, how he will bless us. Yesterday was Sunday, and I rained all morning. Normally I like the rain, but Sunday is not a good time for it. (Because for some reason when it rains everyone stays at home or goes home, at anytime of the day, when there is rain.) (Maybe they melt in the rain? idk) (So basically when it rains Caaguazu shuts down... But its a good time to go tracting...) but Sunday morning is not when we want rain, because we would like people to show up to church.
That morning we went all the way out to the farthest part of the city of Constitucion to look for an investigator... (About 2-3 kilometers away from the church) And got totally and completely soaked. But we were doing what the Lord wanted us to do, bring his children to his church. Well, she was not there and we got all the more wet on the way back to the church :)
When we got there it was time for church to start and we had all of 7 members there, no investigators, and neither of our 2 baptisms planned were there either. Needless to say that wasn´t good. But halfway through the meeting an investigator showed up, and both of our baptism candidates as well. We had a really nice little babtipmal service and confirmations after in the sacrament meeting. But I believe because we did what the lord wanted us to do first, he was willing to bless us in a time when we did not expect to receive a blessing like that.
Oh and I pulled out a bunch of money today a little for me now and a little to save for the future, and a little to help richard and norma with their wedding. (I´m pretty sure I can get most of it back from the mission, about $20). We are really busy preparing for and planning their wedding. We´re doing pretty much everything with a little help from our branch president. (I didn´t think I´d have to plan a wedding for at least another 2 years... :) ) They have almost nothing, but they have fantastic spirits and testimonies growing like wild fire! We are really excited for them. The wedding is this Friday, I´ll try and send you some pictures next week.

Ice Cream... When does mine come in the mail...
Dear Family,
Um, sorry I can't send pictures this week because the computer doesn't want to read my memory card this week... I`ll try again next week. But speaking of which, people love to see pictures of my family, my home, and everything else as well. So you can always send me photos and I can print them off down here. (Plus I like to see them too).
(Does that answer your question about my spanish.)
I can't think of any storys offhand right now so I`ll tell you about an experience that we have every now and again. Every so often we run into semi religious people, super religious people (mostly catholic), but most of the time it's people who think they know what their talking about but are pretty far off track with all kinds of funky doctines :) When we run into these people they all get excited to tell us all about the bible... So they run off to get their bibles (About half the time the Bible is in guarani and has hunks of the apocrifa in it.). They then begin to try and show us all kinds of funky stuff, its pretty much always an interesting expierience. We then procede to staighten them out... :) Of all the funky stuff we`ve heard, here`s a couple of things: One man tried to tell me that in the spanish translation of the bible it has the exact measurements for Noa's ark in centimeters. Another man tried to tell us that there is a spiritual gift that gives you the ability to know absolutly everything about a person, he then proceded to tell us that it is like a prophet, but a prophet only knows 60, 70 or 80% about a person and really good prophets 90%, but that this gift is more and greater then a prophet... with it you can know 100%... Another tried to convince us that we are all literally children of Mary, spiritually and physically in every way a child of Mary. One man tried to tell us that Jesus taught that we should gather riches and money in this world... But like I said, we then procede to staighten them out with the gospel of Jesus Christ and our testimonies of him... :) (That or we just leave because they refuse to hear our message.)
Sorry I can`t think of anything else right now.
But have a good one. Oh and Pray for Richard and Norma Please. We find out if they are going to get married this week. (If so, we have to go plan a wedding... I didn`t think I`d have to do that for awhile...)

Work, Good Honest hard work is the best thing we can do growing up. Thanks Dad
Dear Family,
It sounds like you had a great start to the ballroom season at Provo High. Those competitions are really there to be a great opportunity to practice competing in front of an audience with other people on the floor. Just look at the little comps as opportunities to prepare for nationals. Don´t get your head all caught up with results. Another note about dance...
Klondike... Fun times... If you sinch up the sleeping bag really tight it helps to keep you warm... Or in my case if you don´t sleep with any blankets (Or sleeping bags) it helps to keep you cool... :) (Air conditioning works really well as well)
Oh, you want more stories... In truth the whole stay here in Paraguay is one long story. But this week I´ll tell you about Richard and Norma. We met them about a week an a half ago and taught them about the restoration of the gospel. Richard is 26 and works a ton. Norma is 21, pregnant, and excited about the gospel. After our first lesson with them we gave them a pamphlet to read and pray about. When we visited them again, they had read it together, prayed about it together, and then prayed about it again by themselves. Norma then told us as well that she knows the church is true, and had a dream in which that was confirmed to her. After that we promptly talked about the Holy Ghost, and invited them to be babtized at the end of this month. They are both great and have come to church for the past 2 weeks and felt the spirit. So now we just have to get them married, and stop drinking and smoking and I think we´ll be good. :)
